What is Boatyoga?

Boatyoga is a term to describe the many awkward positions that one may find themselves in when doing any work on a boat. While on this journey we have truly explored every nook and cranny of this vessel and it has not always been comfortable to do so. Below are a few of the examples of Boatyoga that we have experienced thus far.

Taking advantage of the sun

While it's sunny in Juneau, everyone is obligated to get as much done as possible. Here I am tearing into the deck as it was full of soaking wet balsa wood. We replaced this section of deck with a foam core.

Even in the Engine

Using those moves to reach deep in the engine to bleed the fuel pump and filter as we prepared to leave the dock for our home berth.

Shute Suit at work

Trying to use tools under the floor is a difficult skill to master. Sanding and preparing for glass work in tight spaces is extra tough. Dylan was making the most of it as he worked.

Dylan! Get in the hole

I am quite lucky because Dylan happens to be a professional when it comes to fitting in tight spaces and being able to use tools at the same time.  He is so talented at it that I am called upon far less to get in the hole.
